Nothing is collected automatically and no registration is required. Information you enter — your name, email, country, agreement details, contract text, evidence items (photos, files, notes) and motshelo records — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it, except where you trigger one of the actions in sections 2–5 below.
When you run a Contract Health Check, the contract text you submit is sent to our processing service (which uses Anthropic’s Claude AI) solely to generate your risk report. When you use the AI Mediator, the dispute summary and each party’s position you enter are sent the same way solely to generate mediation guidance. This text is processed transiently to produce the result and is not used to train AI models. Please don’t submit information you are not authorised to share. If you never use these features, no document content leaves your device.
When you choose to share or export an agreement, report or evidence pack (PDF, text, WhatsApp, email, the system share sheet), its contents leave your device to the destination you pick. When you send a document for remote signing, the agreement text is encoded into the signing link you share so the other party can review and sign it in their browser; the signature “receipt” they return contains their typed name, signing role and timestamp. These transfers happen at your initiative and go only where you send them.
A fully signed agreement receives a tamper-evident seal: a QR code / link that encodes the agreement title, the signatory names and roles, the seal time and a SHA-256 fingerprint — but not the document text itself. Anyone you give that code to can open the public verify page to confirm authenticity. Verification is computed in the viewer’s browser; the data sits in the link, not on our servers.
If you use Smart Escalation to request a lawyer, the intake details you enter (and any agreement you choose to attach) are sent through the channel you select — typically WhatsApp or email — to the intake contact you are routed to. Only send what you’re comfortable sharing.
To improve the product, the app records anonymous, non-content usage events — for example that a template of a certain type was opened or completed, or that a health check was run. These events contain no document content and no personal data, and are kept on your device. If we introduce optional account sync in future, we will update this policy and ask for any required consent first.
Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details; payment data is handled under Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies.
